1980
Starting in 1980, with the new generations of the Saavedra family, a development of plantations of new varieties began, increasing the capacity of the winery and reaching a growth in sales nationwide.
Origins
Viña Saavedra traces its origins back to 1878, when Don José León Saavedra planted the first vines and built the vineyard in Melozal, Maule Valley, San Javier, on the banks of the Loncomilla river.
